"Paper has more Patience than People"
" Paper has more Patience than People".
This simple, yet profound statement, is one of the most famous lines from Anne Frank's Diary.
I remember reading this line from her autobiography in school library that immediately felt was quite catchy. It's a line that deeply resonates, even decades after she wrote it while hiding from the Nazis. At its core, it speaks to the universal truth about human relationships and the unique, silent comfort of writing.
Think about it. You can tell a piece of paper anything. Your deepest fears, your embarrassing mistakes, your secret hopes, your raw anger. The paper doesn't hold grudges; it doesn't judge you but simply a blank space that's ready to hold your thoughts without a question. It holds your word exactly as you wrote them, a perfect moment in time, with patience that truly no person can match.
With people, its different. Even the most compassionate and patient persons have their limits. They may be distracted, tired or disagree with you. They have their own burdens, own feelings and emotions that can truly get in your way of listening. This isn't a flaw; it's simply a reality of being a human. Our interactions are a two-way street that are a combination of mixed feeling and spilled thoughts.
Paper, however, is a one-way street that gives you a safe space to process your thoughts without the fear of immediate judgement. This is why, journalizing can be a powerful tool. It truly gives you the space to explore millions in your own pace.
In a world that is constantly moving, penning down the actions of your life or moments filled with love, joy on a paper can be the most meaningful thing ever! It's deliberate, slow and act of self-reflection. It reminds us that there is a quite power in having a space where our thoughts simply exist, unfiltered and untouched!
Therefore, as Anne Frank rightly said that " Paper has more Patience than People" still stands out as a profound statement.!!!
What a poignant read ! This is so profound vaishu !
